Trendy does not equal cool.
so i was reading the fashion report in the paper today, and it said to throw away flared jeans and pointy-toed heels for the skinny jeans and ballet flats, and as "they" said, this trend will be around for a few years. bullshit. it also said that short skirts and leggings are the way to go. yeah, i really see this trend sticking around for a loooong time, especially if lindsay lohan has anything to say about it. what about those of us who don't want to look like toddlers on the first day of pre-school? what about those of us with real jobs who need to wear the basic and everlasting clothes that apparently aren't considered trendy anymore? like i've always said, just because things are "in fashion" doesn't make them fashionable. most of the time people look ridiculous trying to pull off the trend du jour. like the dorky kid with glasses who wears skinny jeans tucked into ugg boots w/ a chunky belt over a tunic. too much. take it one step at a time, douchebag. i fucking hate that shit. hardly anyone looks cool trying to pull off these trends. these trends are meant for us to read about in US Weekly, meant to be worn by people like Nicole Richie and, dare I even speak her name, Paris Hilton. these trends are for people who don't work for a living but instead flaunt their money, thus creating these hideous trends. it's the people like britney spears who ruin the trends by not wearing any underwear beneath them.
